Business Need for Location Intelligence in Nursa Platform

Nursa is rapidly growing as the preferred platform for hospitals and other healthcare facilities to hire nurses and clinicians to staff shifts across the United States. Nursa’s CEO, Curtis Anderson, was named one of the “Top 50 Leaders Shaping the Gig Economy” for creating the leading marketplace for connecting nurses and nursing assistants with facilities. As Curtis evaluated the entire lifecycle of hiring with the Nursa platform, three areas showed the compelling business need for adding location intelligence to improve business outcomes:

Pre-shift: Preemptively addressing no-call no-show (NCNS) and/or late arrival situations (notifying facilities and ops in advance, allowing more time to find a potential replacement)

  • As a facility scheduler, when I schedule a clinician, I need visual confirmation that they are on their way and will arrive and complete their shift on time.

  • As a clinician, when I’m scheduled on a shift, I need reminders to help me arrive on time.

On-shift: Accurate shift reporting (automating clock in/out, mediating clinician/facility shift report disputes, resolving facility inquiries and invoice complaints, “proof of work”)

  • As a clinician, when I start a shift, I need an easy way to confirm my arrival so I can get paid instantly.

  • As a clinician, when I complete a shift, I need an easy way to confirm my shift so I can get paid instantly.

Post-shift: Accurate payments that are fair to the facilities and clinicians:

  • As a facility decision maker or accounts payable contact, when I receive an invoice, I need data to ensure that it is accurate (e.g., a way to compare invoice line items against facility time tracking data and/or a trusted time tracking data feed from Nursa).

  • As a clinician, I want to be paid as soon as possible for the shift, based on the hours worked.

Streamlining the Nursa marketplace operations with Location Intelligence

The Nursa team is excited and looking forward to leveraging location intelligence from HyperTrack to improve the fill rates by detecting No-Call No-Show (NCNS) sooner and acting on those to provide backfill with a nearby nurse or clinician.
